Widget LayoutVirtual Data Centres (or VDCs) are logical groups that contain resources, for example, disks, servers, snapshots, and images. Customers need at least one VDC and can create more if desired. For example, VDCs can be used to organize resources by department or by project.
Each VDC belongs to a specific Cluster, and thus is limited to a specific hypervisor.
The VDC Widget can be filtered by and show the following fields:
- Name
- UUID
- Cluster
- Cluster UUID
- Hypervisor
- Created Date
From within the VDC Widget you can perform the following operations on one or more VDCs at the same time:
You can also use the 'Create VDC' button at any point to create a new VDC, or the 'Manage' button to manage an individual VDC. Doing so will bring up a new dialog window.
