Settings Page - Overview Articles
The Settings page enables you to maintain details for your customer account and its default user, change the email address and password, send email invitations for people to join your account as users, and to change the permission settings for your account. In addition, the API username and Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) for your customer account is displayed. 

The following actions can be performed on the Settings page:

Change the display language for the user interface

 

  1. Scroll to the Language section.

  2. Select the appropriate language using the Default drop down menu.
  3. Click the Save button.
Modify details for your customer accountReview the information displayed in the Customer Details section and amend it as required. To save any changes, click the Update Details button.
Modify details for the default user of your customer accountReview the information displayed in the User Details section and amend it as required. To save any changes, click the Update Details button.
Turn context sensitive help (tooltip or balloon help) on or off for your user accountSelect or deselect the Display Balloon Help check box as required.
Send an email invitation for someone to join your customer account as a userClick the Invite User button in the Invite Users section. For more information about the process of inviting people to join your account, see article on Inviting a User.
View your API usernameThis information is displayed in the API Username field of the Your API Details section. For information about how this information is used, see Authenticating to the API. (edit link)
View the UUID for your customer accountThis information is displayed in the Customer UUID field of the Your API Details section.
Save the currently applied view settings as the default for your customer accountClick the Save Defaults button in the Save View Settings Default section. The current view settings are applied as default for all users in your customer account unless they specifically alter them.
Reset your any changes to your view settings to the last saved default configurationClick the Reset button in the Reset View Settings section.
Change the email address you use to log in to your customer accountThis information is displayed in the Email field of the Your login section. Amend the email address as required and click the Update Email button.
Change the password you use to log in to your customer account
  1. Enter the password you currently use in the Current Password field of the Your password section.
  2. Enter the new password in the New Password field. 

  3. Confirm your new password by entering it in the Confirm New Password field.
  4. Click the Update Password button.
Close your customer accountClick the Close Account button in the Close your account section.
View and edit the metadata for your customer account
  1. Click on the Metadata section in the Your Metadata & Keys section. 
  2. Edit the metadata as required.
  3. Click the Save button.

View any customer keys associated with your customer account and add more if required

  1. Click on the Customer Keys section in the Your Metadata & Keys section. 
  2. To add a key, enter the required details and click the Add button.

Edit the permissions for the serverClick on the Permissions section in the Your Metadata & Keys section.
 
Permissions are set using the following fields:
  • Permission - Whether to allow or deny the user or group the ability to perform the action specified using the Capability drop down menu.
  • Type - Whether the permission applies to a group, or an individual user.
  • User/Group - The user or group to which the permission applies.
  • Capability - The action that the user or group is specifically allowed or denied the ability to perform.
  • Resource - The type of resource that the Capability pertains to, for example server, disk, or user.
