How do I set SMTP authentication in Mozilla Thunderbird Articles

version 1.0.7

Go to Tools, and click on Account Settings. Click on Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the left column.

Enter mail.YourDomain.com as the outgoing server. Make sure that you have the Outgoing Server set to "Use a name and password." Enter your email address as the User Name. Make sure that you check "No" for Use Secure Connection.

When you send an email for the first time, you will be asked for a password. You can enter it now and check the box to store the password.
