Where should I place my MS Access database (.mdb) files
We strongly suggest that you place all MS Access database (.mdb) files in the database directory that is located outside of the webroot. This database directory is a secured directory that is not accessible via a browser. Any databases contained within the database folder cannot be downloaded and viewed by unauthorized persons. Additionally, the "database" directory is pre-configured with the proper permissions to allow for database inserts and updates.
