| January 1999 | The idea for Brinkster (then eWebCity) is born. |
| June 1999 | Jared Stauffer develops one of the first web-based file managers and database managers. |
| December 6, 1999 | eWebCity website and service is launched with two hosting plans, the free General plan and the paid Premium plan. Servers are in a datacenter in Newark, NJ and the office is in Jared and Christine Stauffer’s apartment. |
