1999

   January 1999 The idea for Brinkster (then eWebCity) is born.
   June 1999 Jared Stauffer develops one of the first web-based file managers and database managers.
   December 6, 1999 eWebCity website and service is launched with two hosting plans, the free General plan and the paid Premium plan. Servers are in a datacenter in Newark, NJ and the office is in Jared and Christine Stauffer’s apartment.
2000

   January 2000 The Company adds three new servers, bringing the total to four servers.
   February 2000 Jared sells the domain name “aspworld.com” and uses the money to help fund the Company.
   April 2000 Nat Kemberling joins the Company.
   May 2000 First formal office space is opened in beautiful downtown historic Jersey City, NJ in the basement of a brown-stone building.
   July 2000 Christine Stauffer comes up with the new name Brinkster and it is formally adopted as the new company name.
   September 2000 The new official Brinkster website launches.
